Founded in 1997, the DKFZ’s Office of Technology Transfer works at the interface between research and industry. By securing, marketing and licensing patented and non-patented research results obtained at the DKFZ, the Office helps to facilitate the introduction of novel products including anti-cancer drugs, diagnostic assays, and research tools. With more than 100 licensing agreements the DKFZ's transfer office is one the most successful in this area in Germany and even compared to US counterparts.
